The Jay Balchunas Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Jay Balchunas, who gave willingly and without a second thought to so many in the Wisconsin communities. Service was at the heart of everything Jay did, with a specific focus in law enforcement and fire fighting. As a result, scholarship funds have been established at Marquette University and Waukesha County Technical College to further the education and careers of those pursuing jobs in Criminology and Fire Science, respectively. We hope these scholarships will allow those in need to pursue their dreams and serve the community, just as Jay loved to do. If the below listed scholarship recipients are able to approach their work with the passion and love that Jay did, their communities will be that much a better place.

The Jay Balchunas Memorial Scholarship Fund is part of the Waukesha County Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.
